Locker Room Report: Sidney Lowe

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Head coach Sidney Lowe met with reporters following the Pack's win over Virginia

"We held on. I thought our guys came out early and got a nice lead and then got a little careless and turned the ball over a few times and they were aggressive and got back in the ballgame."

"Definitely a great win for us."

"We needed that. We always need someone to step up and make a play to seal the game or just make a big play to turn the game around. [Fells] did that. That's the difference between winning and losing games."

"Outstanding. [Fells] was determined to try to make everything tough for him. [Landesberg] is a tremendous player and Courtney took on that challenge. We were really just trying to deny him and just make him work for everything."

"I wanted to have control of the game I guess. I wanted us to either make or miss free throws. I didn't want them to get an open 3 or a Hail Mary 3 and tie the game up. I wanted to force them to make free throws as well."

"I like where we are as a team. I like our mindset. The way we are playing. We are trying to creep up that ladder and the thing we talked about is that we are going to control our own destiny. We take one game at a time and at the end we'll see where we are – you never know."

"[Costner] seemed like he was okay but he went into the room with the doctor. We'll see, I think tomorrow is really going to be the story on how he feels afterwards."

"Second half we wanted to concentrate on going inside. If we had the 3 it was going to be an inside-out 3."
