Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Courtney Fells, Dennis Horner and Tracy Smith met with the media following the Pack's win over Virginia.

Courtney Fells

"Nothing was going to prevent me from making those free throws because I knew we had to win the game. This was a big game for us and it put us in a good position."

"We can't be looking ahead on the schedule saying we got this or that because we don't have anything. Nothing is predictable in the ACC so we are just going to take it one game at a time and fight like we did tonight."

Dennis Horner

"The story of our season right now. We have these big leads then we lost them. But these past few games we've learned how to win them and we've stayed patient and come out with a 'W'."

"Teams aren't going to give up in the ACC and they knocked down some 3s at the end there. Courtney was able to make his free throws luckily and we won."

"I knew he was going to knock them down he's a great free-throw shooter. He was confident in himself and he just knocked them down."

"With our big men down low they have to get attention. They are getting double teamed, triple teamed sometimes leaving us open on the outside. They are starting to look for us more and we are starting to knock them down."

Tracy Smith

"Coach Lowe just told us to keep our composure, keep our poise to go out and just play. Limit the turnovers. That's what we did and we came out with a victory."

"I've been trying to show coach Lowe that I really want it, that I want to be in the starting lineup, that I can help this team win. Now I'm starting and I'm doing what I can do to help my team win."

"It wasn't a match-up issue they just happen to play the defense wrong and I was open and [my teammates] found me. Just going to the free-throw line and scoring the ball."
