Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Ben McCauley, Tracy Smith and Javi Gonzalez spoke with the media following the Pack's 71-60 loss to Maryland on Sunday night.

Ben McCauley

"You have to tell guys to be on their game and if you aren't ready to play – get the heck out. Get somebody in there that can play. That's the mentality that we have to take from here on out."

"We have to do whatever we can here to make a little run and finish strong. I'm going to make sure, being a senior, that everyone knows that."

"That's what's so disappointing about tonight – I see so much potential in this team with all the guys that when they play well we just gel and its so great. If we can get back to the same page, everyone coming into the game every night ready to play, ready to battle, we can definitely win three, four maybe even five more games here."

Javi Gonzalez

"[Lowe] was just disappointed. He really didn't say much."

"Turnovers are turnovers they are obviously going to hurt you. Most of them are just careless – I mean I don't know what we were thinking but we just turned the ball over. We threw the ball out of bounds three or four times. Careless turnovers we shouldn't have had."

"We knew and they knew we had the advantage inside. Tracy and Ben were doing a pretty good job towards the end of the first half scoring down there and we knew they couldn't stop it. So they went into that zone. It was pretty much like they had three people around them and it was hard to get them the ball."

Tracy Smith

"I got a three-point play and everybody had momentum. The crowd was in it. But we just couldn't quite tie the game up and get to the point where we wanted to get to – to take the lead and try to get the victory."

"I could have contested [Vazquez's final shot] but I was just so frustrated – I was just ready to get back. I don't know what to say about that shot."
