In 2008-2009, Ferguson played in 19 games, starting eight as he averaged 5.5 points and 1.8 rebounds while knocking down 36% of his 3-point shots. Ferguson mainly served as a backup shooting guard for the Wolfpack.
Ferguson originally signed with Pittsburgh but left the Big East school after enrolling in the summer of 2005. He headed to New Creations (IN), where he averaged 24 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists. Recruited by NC State assistant Mark Phelps, Ferguson enrolled at NC State for the spring semester of 2006, but under NCAA rules he was tabbed a transfer so he had to sit out a full year of competition.
As a freshman, he averaged 1.8 points and for his career he averaged 3.7 points and 1.1 rebounds in 15.5 minutes of action.
Ferguson's future plans are unknown at this point, but it is believed that he will transfer to another school and complete his degree.
