"Nate is not in mid-season form, but he's certainly a presence when he's out there. He sees things quickly, he had a pretty good day."

"I wouldn't get to excited about some of this stuff – sometimes the personell match-ups aren't the best when you get to where we are right now."

"We are a tougher football team and that is a positive step to where we want to be. There is a little more intensity out there than we have been accustomed to the first time around. Those are all positive things – there are a lot of mistakes and a lot of things we have to correct."

"As long as we use this as the worst scrimmage we are going to have and get better from here then it will be a good scrimmage."

"We put the ball down on four different spots on the field and try to get x number of plays in. You don't mark off penalties, you just go 12 plays and see who can last to the end of 12."

"It's the yin and the yang. It's good for Owen and its good for Mike but its bad for the defense to get the ball thrown over their head for a long touchdown pass. There is always something good and always something bad in a scrimmage."

"Certainly that would be a positive for [one running back to seperate themselves]. [All three running backs] are getting equal chances and equal opportunities."

"One injury, Gary Grant is done for the spring. Whatever he came in with – fractured pelvis or whatever – something is still not right so we are going to shut him and down and see if he'll be ready to go in August."
