Reggie Davis will run with the Pack

Brian McLain spoke with RB Reggie Davis (Tallahassee, FL) this evening about his visit to NCSU. Davis was very excited to be committing to the Pack.

I just spoke with Reggie Davis and he confirms he committed to the Pack this weekend. Davis finished his senior season carrying the ball 214 times, gaining 1597 yards and scoring 15 touchdowns. Davis sees himself playing tailback at State.

Davis said he committed to NCSU this weekend because of the treatment he received. "The treatment that the coaching staff showed me this weekend was great. I'm going to State because they're a good program on the rise and I want to help them win a National Championship." Davis is waiting on his latest test results to see if qualifies, but he sounded pretty optimistic. I asked him what he was most impressed with this weekend and he said, "They made me feel right at home. It was like a big family there."

Coach Canales recruited Davis. He was hosted this weekend by Travis Singletary, who showed him around campus. "The coaching staff is good, Davis stated. They were really excited to see me."

Davis was really impressed with the Gator Bowl celebration as well. "It was a great celebration. The fans really showed their school spirit."

I asked Reggie where he sees himself in four years. "I should be in my first or second year in the NFL," replied Davis. Lofty goals for a great player.

Welcome to the Pack, Reggie Davis!
