The third annual event will see its largest field yet and will feature five games each day at the 8,500 seat Ocean Center.
The event, which features five on-campus games in the first round, will see its neutral site portion kick off at 11 a.m. on Friday (Nov. 20) when Howard University of the MEAC faces 2009 NIT participant Niagara. Colonial Athletic Association member Georgia State will play Drake, a 2009 postseason team and member of the Missouri Valley Conference, at 1:15 p.m. which will be followed up by Akron and NC State at 3:30 p.m. Auburn and UCF will square off at 6:00 p.m. before IUPUI of the Summit League and 2009 postseason squad Austin Peay play in the 8:15 p.m. nightcap.
Saturday’s slate of games will again begin at 11 a.m. as Georgia State faces Howard. Drake and Akron play in the 1:15 p.m. game before Niagara and UCF square off at 3:30 p.m. Auburn will play IUPUI at 6 p.m. while Austin Peay again closes the day’s festivities with an 8:15 p.m. showdown with NC State. Akron and Howard will open play in the 11 a.m. game on Sunday while will be followed by IUPUI and Georgia State (1:15 p.m.), UCF and Drake (3:30 p.m.), and Austin Peay versus Niagara at 6:00 p.m. The 2009 Glenn Wilkes Classic will close with an 8:15 p.m. battle between NC State and Auburn.
All games will be played at the Ocean Center, situated on Atlantic Avenue across the street from the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort.
