O'Brien Talks Opening Practice

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Thunderstorms cut NC State's first practice short but head coach Tom O'Brien still met with the media following the opening workout.

"We moved Manning in there to start with after a lot of conversation so those two guys are going to fight it out right now because that's a spot we've got to solve."

"Terrell Manning was a heckuva inside linebacker when he came here so we'll see how it works out."

"I think the continuity of the offense and defense... there's a distinct difference in the upperclass in the way they approach practice and how they work."
