DE heads to NCSU this weekend

Maurice Charles readies for visit to NC State on Saturday. TSW caught up with the outstanding Florida Defensive End to get his thoughts about his upcoming trip.

NC State continues to look at players for their defensive line. The next defensive end to visit the Pack is Miami Carol City High School player, Maurice Charles. Charles is about to take his third and final visit to Raleigh this weekend.

We asked Charles if it was important for him to stay in the state of Florida for his college career. "Going out of state is not a factor in this. NC State is all right. They are one of the schools I have liked for awhile."

Doc Holiday continues to work the Miami area as he is Maurice's primary recruiter. "Doc Holiday is recruiting me as a defensive end, as a rush end."

Maurice does not know any current players on the team but he is aware that there is a roster full of south Florida players at NC State. "I don't know any of their players, but they do have some guys from Miami there."

NC State will be the last stop for Charles as he has trimmed his list to the three schools that received visits. Florida was visited on January 17th, Florida State received a visit last weekend and NC State is hosting the DE this weekend. He has eliminated Rutgers and South Florida from the list of schools he is considering.

While no leader is being named by Maurice, look for a commitment soon after his trip to Raleigh.
