Locker Room Report: Tom O'Brien

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State head coach Tom O'Brien met with the media following the loss to Duke.

"Give Duke a lot of credit, they came in here and did a great job offensively. They threw the ball and we certainly had trouble stopping the passing game."

"If we can't do that, it's certainly something we have to get fixed or if everybody wants to play against us we'll obviously see 50 passes a game."

"We just have to circle the wagons and see what we can do and get done this week as we head to Boston."

"We're halfway through the year and have a lot to play for. I don't think these kids have any quit in them."

"Great percentage, high completions, a lot of yards. He had some guys running wide open that we didn't do quite the job we should have. He certainly made us play."

"We could never get ahead of the curve there."

"It's something we're going to have to evaluate on offense, the lack of production in the second half."

"We think we're playing our best guys, but whatever we're asking out of them we're not getting."

"We have to take some responsibility coaching too. I think they had a good gameplan for us. They did a lot of max protecting, they weren't going to let us pressure the quarterback threw the ball."

"Whether we were playing man or zone, we weren't even in the same area code sometimes with their guys."

"You have to evaluate everything, especially after the last two weeks."

"They are all difficult, they are all disappointing. I think that we've got a bright future here and I still think we're headed in the right direction. This is certainly a setback. We're going to have to see what we're made of now in the locker room and see who shows up this week in practice."
