Scott to team with the Pack

NC State continues to roll in the state of Florida as they got their 10th commitment from the sunshine state. The latest is Defensive Back Miguel Scott from Miami Killian High School. TSW caught up with Miguel to talk about his recent decision.

NC State is working the state of Florida relentlessly as signing day approaches. The last five known commitments have come from the football recruiting hotbed. Miguel Scott visited NC State the first week in December and it was enough to hold his interest to just six days before the signing period begins. Scott pulled the trigger tonight.

We asked Miguel why he chose NC State. "Overall, It was just the best school for me. I like the defensive back coach, Demarest."

It also helps to have a few old friends at his future school. "I have a couple of friends that played at Killian up there. Andre Maddox and Pat Thomas. They were my host when I was there."

A couple of NC State coaches got the word first hand this evening. "I told Coach Holiday and Coach Demarest tonight. They know."

The NC State coaching staff is talking to Scott about playing cornerback when he arrives in Raleigh.

Miguel picked NC State over Georgia, Florida and Rutgers.
