Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Several NC State players met with the media after the 89-67 win over UNC Greensboro.

Dennis Horner

"We've taken a lot of big steps this season with the freshman kind of getting into the flow but we still have a lot to go."

"We knew they were gonna come out and run some zone, run some scrappy defenses. That first half our offensive execution was a little sloppy except for Tracy, he was holding it down. The second half we came and out and just played basketball."

"We got used to their zone defense and we found open spots on the offensive end."

Scott Wood

"I think it's just going in. Even when I was in my little slump I felt like all of them were going in but I think the main thing is my teammates have confidence in me."

"That confidence put me over the edge."

"The main thing is we started getting stops... that led to some open looks."

"I enjoy it a lot... they have to step down there. After awhile they may not help down off me as much but that's going to open someone else up."

"Either way, pick your poison."

Javy Gonzalez

"We was pushing it back at them and getting easy shots, wide open shots... I didn't think in the second half their defense was a factor."

"Everybody was moving without the ball, finding open spots. We were moving the ball pretty good and getting open shots."

"We lost a couple of games that we all felt we should of won, we were right there to win it."

"I'm feeling good, like the coaches told me, let the game come to me and run the offense. The game is close and at the end I've got to make plays but at first they want me to get everybody involved and take what's there."
