David Amerson
S | 6-1 / 182
Dudley (NC)
Rating:
Pos Rank: 35
Committed to: NC STATE
Commit Date: 11/8/09
Committed Over: Clemson, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest
Scouting Report: Amerson plays at both wide receiver and defensive back. He has spent most of the time at corner and he looked better there than expected. Scout has him rated as a safety, but he could end up playing corner. He turns and runs with receivers well and he has good recovery speed. He struggles a bit with press coverage, but he played physical, he has very good ball skills, and if beaten off the line, he closed well. - Chad Simmons
Torian Box
OG | 6-3 / 294
North Clayton (GA)
Rating:
Pos Rank: 52
Committed to: NC STATE
Commit Date: 6/20/09
Committed Over: East Carolina, Mississippi State, UAB
Scouting Report: Box is a physical offensive lineman that likes to get after it. He plays with great aggression and is always looking to put the defender on his back. He is a very powerful OL, but could use that strength more to his advantage by playing a little lower, firing off the ball better, and improving his hand placement. Strong inside guard that will be a good run blocker on the next level. - South Recruiting Manager Chad Simmons
Tyler Brosius
QB | 6-3 / 232
Tuscola (NC)
Rating:
Pos Rank: 80
Committed to: NC STATE
Commit Date: 10/2/09
Committed Over: Elon, Maryland, Pittsburgh, UCF, Virginia, Western Carolina
Scouting Report: Very good accuracy on both short and deep passes. While he delivered many catchable passes, at times he it took too long to locate the receiver he wanted to throw to. He needs to really work on making quicker decisions and trusting his judgement a little earlier. His arm is average and his delivery is a little on the slower side, so those are more reasons why he should get rid of the ball as early as possible. - Chad Simmons

WR | 6-0 / 195
Southern (NC)
Rating:
Scout300: 233
Pos Rank: 35
Committed to: NC STATE
Commit Date: 6/21/09
Committed Over: Clemson, Duke, LSU, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest
Scouting Report: Could play either running back or wide receiver in college with his strong lower body and great hands on the perimeter. Has the vision and toughness to be a twenty carry back and smart enough with experience as a wide receiver to find soft spots in zone and create separation in man coverage. Not going to be an amazing forty time, but he can make people miss inside a box and should be best suited as a slot receiver.
Robert Crisp
OT | 6-8 / 290
Athens Drive (NC)
Rating:
Pos Rank: 4
Committed to: NC STATE
Commit Date: 4/7/09
Committed Over: Clemson, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina
Scouting Report: Athletic lineman who could play either tackle position and has the strength to play inside as a guard. Has good weight, great placement with his hands, and consistency with quickness off the ball make him a candidate to play early. Normally has a good base in pass pro, he has a tendency to be a little too open on deeper drops and cannot kick very quickly. Has better steps in the running game, especially when drive blocking.

S | 6-4 / 202
Westside (GA)
Rating:
Pos Rank: 96
Committed to: NC STATE
Commit Date: 6/25/09
Committed Over: Marshall, Troy, UAB
Scouting Report: Very long safety who could easily grow into a linebacker after a year or two in a college strength program. Very aware defender both in man over the top and in zone finding receivers trying to sit in the soft spots. If he is to transition to linebacker he needs to work on his aggressiveness as he tends to wait for the carrier to come to him and absorbs the hit or tries to dive at their feet. - Miller Safrit
Mustafa Greene
RB | 6-0 / 200
Irmo (SC)
Rating:
Pos Rank: 45
Committed to: NC STATE
Commit Date: 1/27/10
Committed Over: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Rutgers, Syracuse
Scouting Report: A one cut downhill runner with great acceleration towards the line of scrimmage and gets behind his pads well to create extra yardage after contact. Vision allows him ability to find a cutback lane, though he is not a wiggler trying to always find ways to get to daylight but rather wants to run North and South. Has the frame to add lower body size to become a power back, though frequently injured in the past and durability is a concern.
Fre'Shad Hunter
DT | 6-4 / 250
Cary (NC)
Rating:
Scout300: 263
Pos Rank: 29
Committed to: NC STATE
Commit Date: 9/27/09
Committed Over: East Carolina, Florida State, LSU, Purdue, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee
Scouting Report: Hunter is a versatile defensive lineman that could end up inside or outside on the next level. He has good size, good strength, good length, and still room to grow. He has shown a good first step and a nice package of moves when rushing the passer. He needs to work on his hands and flexibility along with pad level, but he has a lot of potential on the defensive line. - South Recruiting Manager Chad Simmons
Dontae Johnson
S | 6-3 / 180
The Pennington (NJ)
Rating:
Pos Rank: 66
Committed to: NC STATE
Commit Date: 10/4/09
Committed Over: Connecticut, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota, Stanford, Virginia
Scouting Report: Johnson is a very good athlete as he was recruited to play both football and basketball and right now, he's a bit raw on the gridiron. A good centerfielder that has the ball skills to make plays and closing speed to cover sideline to sideline. Is also a willing run supporter that will come up and play physical football, but needs to learn to get lower and tackle with much more authority, especially up in the box. - Matt Alkire
Andy Jomantas

Chaminade Julienne (OH)
Rating:
Pos Rank: 83
Committed to: NC STATE
Commit Date: 12/18/09
Committed Over: Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Kansas, Ohio State
Scouting Report: Put on weight and will need to continue to do so. You can't teach his physical size and ability to move his feet. In his first year of playing OT he showed he had the ability to move his feet and use his hands. The biggest question is the width of his shoulders as they are not as wide as you would like to see. But I feel he has a chance to be a very good player. - Dave Berk

Marlboro County (SC)
Rating:
Pos Rank: 81
Committed to: NC STATE
Commit Date: 6/24/09
Committed Over: Baylor, East Carolina, Illinois
Scouting Report: Very large body who carries his weight well on a 6-2 frame moves very well for being well over 300 pounds. Well suited to be a nose tackle in a 3-4 defense taking on double-teams on every play without giving up ground. Could do well in a 4-3 where he could attack a single gap with his surprising quickness off the ball. Need to see more consistency with his pad level and overall effort, but the raw tools are there. -- Miller Safrit
