Pack Pride Basketball Recruiting Board

With signatures from two of the top guards in the 2010 class, NC State is looking to add another prospect to give the Wolfpack one of the top recruiting classes in the country.

The Pack Pride Recruiting Board is in no way connected with the NC State coaching staff. This board is for our readers to remain updated with the recruitment of players who have shown an interest in NC State.

2010, 2011, and 2010 prospects are listed according to their interest in NC State through media outlets, various sources, etc... The 2011 and 2012 lists also includes additional potential prospects who either have or could emerge as legitimate NC State targets. We will update this board throughout the recruiting year when new information is reported.

2010 Signees
NC State has signatures from two elite guard prospects.

G Lorenzo Brown []
Hometown: Roswell, Georgia
High School: Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA)
Vitals: 6-5/180

A combo guard capable of playing both backcourt positions, Brown is a smooth guard with a slick handle, above-average athleticism, and the ability to create for others.

He was the Wolfpack's star recruit in the 2009 class but failed to qualify academically and has to attend prep school.

Brown signed with NC State in November and was arguably the top guard in prep school this past season. Rated a five-star prospect by, Brown is expected to contribute right away for the Wolfpack.

PICKED NC STATE OVER: Florida, Tennessee, and Texas among others

PG Ryan Harrow []
Hometown: Marietta, Georgia
High School: Walton High School
Vitals: 6'0/155

As a junior, Harrow helped lead Marietta (GA) Walton to one of the best seasons in school history. He led the area in scoring and was named County Player of the Year over future ACC players Richard Howell (NC State), Ari Stewart (Wake Forest), and Glen Rice Jr. (Georgia Tech).

He had a strong spring and summer on the AAU circuit, and is now rated a five-star prospect by Currently he's the No. 24 player overall in the 2010 class and the No. 8 point guard prospect.

As a senior Harrow averaged 32 points, six assists, five rebounds, and four steals and was recently named Gatorade Georgia Boys Basketball Player of the Year. He will be playing in the Derby Festival and Capital Classic All-Star Games.

2010 Targets
NC State is looking to land another impact player in the 2010 class. With Harrow and Brown in the fold, they can afford to be picky and Leslie is the top priority.

F C.J. Leslie []
Hometown: Raleigh, NC
High School: Word of God Academy
Vitals: 6-8/200

Leslie had been committed to NC State since 2007 but re-opened his recruitment last spring. All of the big-time programs are all over him, as he is regarded as one of the top players in his class. A combo forward, Leslie has the ability to impact on the college level as a freshman.

NC State remains in the mix, and the Wolfpack is considered one of the favorites along with Kentucky and Florida. Leslie attended several NC State games this past season and is extremely close with Wolfpack signee Ryan Harrow.

Leslie is rated a five-star prospect and the No 12 player overall in the 2010 class. He is a McDonald's All-American and will likely be announcing his decision in April.

COLLEGE LIST: NC State, Florida, Kentucky, Oregon, UCONN, and UCLA among others

PF/C Luke Cothron []
Hometown: Red Springs, North Carolina
School: Flora MacDonald Academy
Vitals: 6-8/205

Cothron committed to NC State in the fall but didn't sign during the early signing period and recently backed out of his verbal commitment.

Sources close to the situation have indicated that Cothron never officially called the Wolfpack coaches to decommit, but multiple media outlets spoke with Cothron and/or his coach who confirmed the decommitment.

It's unclear as to if NC State will continue to pursue Cothron, but he still lists the Wolfpack, for the time being.

Cothron is rated a four-star prospect and the No. 13 power forward in the country by

COLLEGE LIST: NC State, UCONN, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Miss. Kentucky among others

G/F Bo Ingram [JC]
Hometown: Kinston, NC
Junior College: South Plains JC
Vitals: 6-5/200

A NC State fan, Ingram headed to South Plains JC after playing his prep career at Kinston (NC) High School. As a freshman at South Plains, he averaged just under 10 per game in about 17 minutes of action. This season he averaged nearly 13 points and six boards a game.

He's already taken a visit to Campbell and is scheduled to visit UT-Arlington and potentially Idaho. NC State has yet to offer but the Wolfpack has remained in contact.

"I'm still talking to NC State," Ingram told Pack Pride this morning. "The feedback from them is they are waiting to see what C.J. Leslie is going to do. They will know more once he makes his decision."

COLLEGE LIST: NC State, UT-Arlington, Idaho, and Campbell among others

2011 Targets
With strong 2009 and 2010 classes NC State can be selective this spring. Look for them to evaluate a host of prospects before narrowing their focus.

PG Chris Wilson []
Hometown: Fayetteville, NC
School: Terry Sanford HS
Vitals: 6-3/200

NC State recently inquired about Wilson, and he is wide open at this point. One of the top point guards in the state, he has a chance to make a name for himself on the AAU circuit with CP3 All-Stars.

COLLEGE LIST: Bucknell, Elon, NCSU, UNC, VCU, Marquette, TENN, VT, Stanford, ECU, and UVA among others

PG Jerome Seagars []
Hometown: Red Springs, NC
High School: Flora MacDonald Academy
Vitals: 6-2/175

A solid scoring point guard, Seagars has a chance to end up on the high-major level. He'll be one of the guys to watch this weekend at Dave Telep's Carolina Challenge.

COLLEGE LIST: NC State, Duke, Wake Forest, UNC, Georgetown, and Maryland among others

F Jacob Lawson []
Hometown: Oak Ridge, NC
School: Oak Ridge Academy
Vitals: 6-8/210

Checking in at 6-foot-8 and 210 pounds, Oak Ridge Academy (NC) combo forward Jacob Lawson is a matchup problem for opposing power forwards and small forwards. He has the strength and postup game to take smaller defenders in the post and has expanded his game enough that he can face-up bigger defenders and exploit them on the perimeter.

A teammate of NC State verbal Joseph Uchebo, Lawson is hearing from the Wolfpack and attended the Florida game.

COLLEGE LIST: NC State, Miami, Syracuse, Seton Hall, and Florida among others

F Braeden Anderson []
Hometown: Okotoks, Alberta (CA)
High School: Creedmoor (NC) Christian Faith Center

PF Desmond Hubert []
Hometown: New Egypt, NJ
Junior College: New Egypt HS
Vitals: 6-8/200

He's a shotblocking presence in the paint and is continuing to add bulk to his frame.
