C.J. Leslie Interview

Ryan has his own little perception of what he thinks... he thinks since he is the best point guard out there right now in this class, I feel... that I was going to come to State the whole time.

On the basketball floor, someone that can do a little bit of everything, can play multiple positions, and is exciting to watch."

"It is a big relief. It's definitely a lot off my back. Now I can focus on other things like getting better.

It came down to Kentucky and UCONN, they were very close. At one point I thought I might be going to Kentucky.

We have a chance to be real great and go far.

I definitely didn't come to lose.

Talk is all good but I think his record speaks for himself. He was in the league for 15 years so I think he knows how to get other guys ready for the next level... that played a part in my decision.

We're going for that ACC Championship, and we're going to run the city.

Ryan Harrow Interview

As long as they are happy, I'm happy.

I was real excited. Coach Lowe and C.J. all called me from the office while I was playing basketball. I was in the middle of the game. I just stopped the whole game... I was saying we got C.J. Leslie, NC State's going to be crazy next year.

He just tells us about the great atmosphere and how NC State has the best fans. He'll also tell us how he's going to better our games to get us to where we want to be. Everybody's goal is to get to the NBA and he says he has to teach you certain things and he feels like he's the best person to do that.

Me and Lorenzo have been playing together since we were eight years old. He's my Godbrother... we have history together. C.J., we became friends two years ago, but we've played together a couple of times. We saw we complement each others games so well.... with us coming in and the players here already, we feel like we have a chance of doing big things this year.

It shows the loyalty and shows that I get the respect from my peers... for C.J. to do it, that shows we have a true friendship. He always wanted to play with me wherever I went so I already knew he was going to come to NC State. It was never even a question.

Everytime I talked to him he would always say he wants to play with me wherever I go... for two months I stopped asking him because I knew that he knew the best choice for him was to come play with me at NC State. I know I can score and all of that, but I'm going to get him the ball so he can do what he likes to do on the floor.

You have to let people talk. People talk when they get nervous. I just let it slide and go on about my business.
