TOC: Wolfpack Targets Invade The Triangle

The annual Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions begins tonight and several potential NC State prospects will be in attendance, including 2012 verbal commitment Joseph Uchebo.

Pack Pride will have extensive coverage of the tournament with writers at each venue, so stay tuned for game coverage, player updates, scouting reports, and much more!

Next week we will publish interviews from the Wolfpack prospects in attendance to find out about future visits, how they played, current lists, and any other information that we can release. Also we'll be running photo galleries and video clips from the three-day event.

The following Wolfpack prospects are expected to be traveling with their AAU teams to the 2010 Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions. Games listed are from pool play; playoffs begin Saturday night and potential pool matchups are listed at the bottom of the SCHEDULE. After pool play and Saturday's playoff games are completed, we'll have a listing of Sunday's matchups posted.

Pack Pride Extra: DeMatha (MD) point guard is one of the nation's best. He's being recruited by Pete Strickland and head coach Sidney Lowe, both DeMatha alums, and has a host of scholarship offers.

NC State would love to land a point guard as talented as Cook in this class, and he should form a strong backcourt with Jerome Seagears.

Jacobs could end up playing with the Southern Kings.

Pack Pride Extra: Adjehi Baru is one of the hottest names on the circuit right now and athleticism is his calling card. He's hearing from nearly all the ACC programs, and NC State is showing interest with Monte Towe heading up his recruitment according to AAU coach Rick Lewis.

He's a player who could emerge on NC State's radar over the next few months as the coaching staff becomes more familiar with him.

Best Pool Matchup: Cecil Kirk -Maryland-based AAU program will pose a challenge for Team Loaded.

Pack Pride Extra: Roundtree is still looking to decide on if he will be a 2011 or 2012 recruit (which is why he's playing with the 16s) but currently lists VCU (offer), NC State, UVA, and ECU among others.

He has very good size for the wing position but needs to continue developing his skills and face better competition. Should he reclassify he could end up at Greenfield or Ravenscroft, otherwise he'll be back at Wilson (NC) Beddingfield High School in the fall.

Best Pool Matchup: Playground Warriors - The Warriors feature stud wing J.P. Tokoto who is a great matchup for Roundtree. Tokoto is one of the top recruits in the 2012 class.

Pack Pride Extra: The Worldwide Renegades program has been kind to NC State over the years as former players Richard Howell, J.J. Hickson, Lorenzo Brown, and C.J. Leslie have inked with the Pack.

Henry is a combo guard who is receiving interest from NC State, Harvard, Georgia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Richmond, and Miami. He's claiming offers from NC State and Richmond. Henry averaged 24 points, six rebounds, and five assists as he was named all-state and Player of the Year in his region.

Best Pool Matchup: Michigan Hurricanes - The Hurricanes are strong once again.
