Riddle visits Clemson

Mockville prospect Billy Riddle took a visit down to Clemson this past weekend to attend Junior Day. The Insiders has the details from his visits to the Tigers.

Billy Riddle was planning on attending Junior Day at Wake Forest this past weekend. As it turns out, Riddle headed south to attend Clemson's Junior Day instead.

"I didn't end up going to Wake's," Riddle said late Monday night. "I went down to Clemson's Junior Day instead."

Riddle told VTI that he decided to attend Clemson's Junior Day after Wake Forest failed to send him more information on their Junior Day.

Still, Riddle was happy to attend Clemson, South Carolina and had a good time. "We watched the spring practice and got to see how they run their practice and all that," Riddle said. "We then attended a meeting and talked about academic qualifications and all that."

"Later, we toured the weightroom and football facilities and then talked to position coaches," Riddle continued. "We talked with the recruiting area coordinators in our areas - Mike O'Cain was mine."

As for schools that Riddle is looking at, he "want[s] to stay in North Carolina or the surrounding states." Riddle says that he's gotten attention from all in-state schools as well as Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Clemson.

This summer, he will attend a slew one-day camps including Clemson, UNC, and East Carolina. He also plans to attend the Nike Camp at Virginia Tech on May 17th.
