The return of weekly TV shows featuring football coach Tom O'Brien and men's basketball coach Sidney Lowe highlight the expanded lineup. Each week, the O'Brien and Lowe shows will include special game highlights and coaches' analysis along with interesting player features.
Get a 30-minute preview of NC State's upcoming football season this Sunday night, August 29, when the Tom O'Brien Show presented by BB&T makes its season debut on TV stations all across the state of North Carolina. Along with Coach O'Brien's analysis of the upcoming season, this week's show will include a visit with new NC State Director of Athletics Deborah A. Yow.
In addition to the coaches' shows, Wolfpack Football Fast Forward has been added to the NC State TV lineup for this fall. Wolfpack Football Fast Forward will feature every play from the previous weekend's game along with Gary Hahn's play-by-play call from the Wolfpack Sports Network, all conveniently delivered in an hour-long format.
NC State already has the most-watched coaches' shows in the Triangle, and the new TV lineup will receive expanded coverage in 2010-11. Fans in the Triangle will have two opportunities to watch the O'Brien and Lowe shows.
WRAL TV-5 in Raleigh will continue to carry both shows at 11:35 p.m. on Sundays throughout the year, and NC State this fall will become the only area school to have its coaches' shows available locally to viewers during prime time.
WRAL2, channel 106 on the Time-Warner Cable digital cable lineup, will air the O'Brien and Lowe shows at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. WRAL2 also can be picked up with a digital television antenna in non-cable households on channel 5.2.
Wolfpack Football Fast Forward will air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on WRAZ2, which is channel 151 on the Time-Warner Cable digital cable lineup. WRAZ2 can be picked up with a digital television antenna in non-cable households on channel 50.2.
The Tom O'Brien Show will re-air this season early in the week on regional sports networks Fox Sports South and MASN.
Both coaches' shows and Wolfpack Football Fast Forward will be available to viewers worldwide on GoPack.com each week under the All-Access subscription plan.
The Tom O'Brien Show will make its 2010 debut on Sunday, August 29. The first date for the Wolfpack Football Fast Forward is Tuesday, September 7.
