Harrell Hoping to Visit Again

Tampa (FL) linebacker Anthony Harrell is a major target for NC State and the senior 'backer has the Pack among his group of favorites. Pack Pride has the latest.

Pack Pride spoke to linebacker Anthony Harrell in early August shortly after his unofficial visit to NC State and everything seemed like it went well.

Now that the three-star prospect from Tampa (FL) Freedom has had some time to reflect on his visit to Raleigh he is still very high on the Wolfpack. In fact, he told Pack Pride this week that he will probably be making another trip to NC State in the weeks ahead.

"They're [NC State] one of my top schools of interest," Harrell explained. "I'll most likely [take an official visit] up there."

That would be a big opportunity for the Wolfpack. Last month Harrell said he didn't have a list of favorites yet but he admitted that NC State and West Virginia would probably be two of the schools that crack his top five, whenever he releases that.

Now it appears as though he could be coming out with his list of favorites sooner rather than later.

"I don't have a bunch of favorites yet," he said. "I've just got a couple of favorites yet. I'll probably name all of them [leaders] soon."

Harrell had a lot of positive things to say about the facilities at NC State after he took an unofficial visit to the school last month and he also seemed to get along with the coaches very well. He expanded on that this week.

"I like the facilities and the chance of getting to play early. They've got a good linebackers coach and they're not too far from home."

There are certainly schools recruiting Harrell that are closer to home than NC State, but he doesn't seem like the type of guy that needs to just be a short drive from home. South Florida is a school closer to home that is still recruiting him.

Harrell said he has been in some contact with most of the schools that have offered him, but that contact will be picking up this month as coaches are able to contact recruits over the phone. Time will be at a premium, however, as both Harrell and college coaches will be in the middle of their season, so the next step is probably to release his list and set up his official visits.
