Draughn Cleared to Play

North Carolina senior tailback Shaun Draughn has been cleared to play and will make his 2010 debut Saturday against Georgia Tech, the school announced on Monday.

"Shaun Draughn had been cleared and will be able to join the team this week as an active participant," Butch Davis said.

A native of Tarboro, N.C., Draughn was held out of the LSU game while the University worked with the NCAA to determine his eligibility status.

"As far as Shaun's role [Saturday against Georgia Tech], we're certainly going to try to get him back in the flow of things," Davis said.

Draughn rushed for 567 yards in 10 games as the starter in 2010. As a sophomore, he recorded 866 yards on the ground.
