UNC To Host Georgetown Wednesday At 7 p.m.

North Carolina will play host to Georgetown in the NIT quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 26 in the Smith Center. The game is scheduled for a 7p.m. tipoff and will be televised on ESPN 2.

Like the first two NIT games against DePaul and Wyoming, most of the tickets for the NIT third-round game will be general admission, meaning three-quarters of the lower level seats and rows E-Y of the upper level will be first-come, first-served. Only sections 105-112 (behind the two team benches) will be reserved in the lower level. Smith Center doors will open at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

Tickets for Wednesday's game are $15 for the general public and $5 for UNC students. Students may purchase up to four (4) student tickets with each UNC OneCard. Student riser seating will NOT be in effect for the game.

Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, March 25, at 8 a.m. They may be purchased over the phone by calling the UNC Ticket Office at 1-800-722-4335 or 919-962-2296 or by fax at 919-962-5529. Tickets may also be purchased at the Smith Center box office on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The box office will reopen on Wednesday at 5 p.m. for will-call and ticket sales.

Fans who wish to pick up tickets in advance are encouraged to purchase tickets in person at the Smith Center Tuesday or early Wednesday.

Fans are also strongly encouraged to use the bus shuttle system. Tar Heel Express buses will operate from their traditional four locations from approximately 1.5 hours prior to game time to just after tip-off, with return trips to the lots immediately following the game. The four traditional park and ride lots are as follows: (1) Highway 54 park and ride lot, (2) University Mall near Belks, (3) Southern Village and (4) Jones Ferry Road. The cost is $5 per person round trip.

The Highway 54 park and ride lot is located off the Friday Center Drive on the left, just off of Highway 54 East. University Mall is located off 15-501 South on the right traveling from Durham. Southern Village is located just off 15-501 South as you are traveling from Pittsboro on the edge of Chapel Hill. Carrboro Plaza park and ride is located off Highway 54 west in Carrboro as you are traveling into Chapel Hill from Carrboro.
