Dukes hasn't yet rescheduled the official visit to UNC. Furthermore, the 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive tackle from Manning (S.C.) hasn't scheduled or taken any other official trips.
"My coach takes care of all that," Dukes said.
Dukes has, though, decided on the destinations of those visits – Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, UNC, and South Carolina.
"Those are the schools I'm focused on," Dukes said. "[Those are] great schools."
Dukes plans to wait until Signing Day to announce his collegiate decision.
"[I'm looking for] a good school, early playing time, and a good education," Dukes said.
John Blake originally recruited Dukes for UNC. When Blake resigned, Sam Pittman took over Dukes' recruitment and it didn't skip a beat.
"[UNC is a] good school, good coaches, and good education environment," Dukes said. "I had a connection with Coach Blake, but not enough to affect [my feelings towards UNC]."
Dukes says he talks on the phone with Pittman "every now and then."
"[He talks about] getting an education and how to be a leader," Dukes said.
Pittman has also mentioned UNC's defensive line coach situation.
"They said they have some [candidates], but they don't know [who they'll hire], yet," Dukes said.
Over the summer, Dukes camped at UNC. However, he hasn't returned to the campus since.
