"I'm taking it all in," Koenig said. "I'm not thinking about it too much. I'm just worried about my high school season."
Despite focusing on the season at hand, the 6-foot-2, 160-pound guard already holds scholarship offers from Marquette and Wisconsin. He's taken visits to both. His next visit could be to Chapel Hill.
"I'm planning to take a visit to North Carolina," he said. "We are still trying to figure out a date, but they've talked to me about figuring that out."
A trip to North Carolina wouldn't be Koenig's first. He was there for an AAU tournament in May, but that was prior to UNC's interest.
"We went to the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions and I liked the campus a lot," he said.
Keonig said he's had the opportunity to talk to Williams and the Tar Heel coach said he plans to continue to evaluate him.
"He just said that I'm the only sophomore that he's come to see this year and that he's just really impressed with my game and he's going to be coming to more of my high school game and AAU games."
"I like them a lot," the 2013 prospect added. "I've always liked them. With Michael Jordan and everything and now Harrison Barnes, I like them a lot."
According to Koenig, the Heels first spotted him while watching 2012 standout J.P. Tokoto at the local Dells Classic late in July.
Keonig is averaging 16.7 points per game through eight games for Aquinas, which sits at 7-1 early in the season.
