North Carolina has moved into position to win the ACC's regular-season title, but will have to survive one tough finishing week to come out on top. North Carolina will play two of the conference's top teams in four days. Florida State will be first up today in Tallahassee (7 p.m., ESPN ), and Duke will follow on Saturday in Chapel Hill (8 p.m., CBS).

Surging North Carolina suffered a blow Tuesday, as the school announced that freshman Reggie Bullock will miss the remainder of the season after tearing the lateral meniscus in his left knee against Maryland on Sunday. Bullock's injury leaves the 13th-ranked Tar Heels, who are tied atop the ACC standings, with just eight scholarship players on the roster headed into their final two games of the regular season. UNC travels to Florida State today (7 p.m., ESPN) before hosting Duke on Saturday to possibly determine the winner of the ACC regular-season title.

North Carolina heads to Florida State on Wednesday night in a game that could derail the Tar Heels' visions of claiming the outright league title in that potentially high-stakes matchup four nights from now. "We had better be thinking in terms of Florida State and not be thinking about Duke," North Carolina coach Roy Williams said. The Seminoles should provide plenty of food for thought. Florida State (20-8, 10-4) was in the ACC regular-season title picture early and handed Duke its first league loss, a 66-61 result in Tallahassee.

Reserve wing Reggie Bullock, who is averaging 6.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 14.5 minutes this season, is out for the season because of a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee, the school announced. He will undergo arthroscopic surgery in the near future. The Tar Heels (22-6, 12-2 ACC), who are now down to eight healthy scholarship players in their rotation, will have a five-game winning streak on the line when they play at Florida State on Wednesday night.

Roy Williams can spout out numbers in a post-game press conference without referencing the stat sheet in front of him. He can correctly tally John Henson's rebounds, Kendall Marshall's steals or his team's second-half free-throw percentage. But when it comes to five-game winning streaks, Williams doesn't put much stock into numbers.

Florida State Wednesday at 7 p.m. (ESPN) will play its final home game of the season here against No. 13 North Carolina. The Seminoles are seeking their third victory against a ranked opponent – a victory that would guarantee the Seminoles a first-round bye in the upcoming Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament.

On Monday afternoon, Florida State head coach Leonard Hamilton was speaking with reporters about the career of guard Derwin Kitchen, who will be honored during Senior Night festivities at the Civic Center before the Seminoles take on No. 13 North Carolina. He talked about how much Kitchen had grown, how much he had overcome to even be in this position and how proud he was the Jacksonville native would be leaving "with a degree from Florida State University." Then he was asked about that moment. The one, three seasons ago, when Kitchen was finally ruled eligible and able to participate in Division I basketball. He was a sophomore at the time. And his journey had been long, winding and frustrating.
