Senior Guard To Visit

Stilman White has a couple of scholarship offers and some additional interest. Yet now a potential option with North Carolina has entered the picture.

White, a 6-1, 160-pound senior at Wilmington (N.C.) Hoggard, said a guy he works out with referred him to North Carolina.

"They watched my tape and they are having me come out this week," said White, who thus far has offers from UNC-Wilmington, Utah State and has been receiving interest from BYU.

White will be in the Smith Center for the Tar Heels big match up with arch-rival Duke.

"Yes sir," he said when asked about visiting on Saturday. "That's true."

White had intentions of doing a Mormon mission prior to heading off to college. But during his talk with North Carolina, it the possibility was suggested of bringing him in next season.

"That's what Carolina was talking about," White said.

"I originally planned on going right after high school this summer," he added. "But they were talking about me playing one year and then going."

Is there any interest in doing that?

"There definitely would be," White admitted. "It's North Carolina."

White is averaging 20.5 points, 3.1 assists and 4.5 rebounds for Hoggard this season. He is shooting 51 percent from the field and 36 percent on three-point attempts.
