Marshall Attends Practice

Five-star tailback Keith Marshall has made more visits to North Carolina than any other school. The latest visit was for a recent spring practice session.

"I wanted to watch practice and get a feel for the coaches," Marshall said. "I was impressed. The practice was very intense and competitive."

Marshall's latest visit to UNC was limited to watching practice. However, while on the Navy Practice Fields, the 5-foot-11, 172-pounder from Raleigh (N.C.) Millbrook had brief conversations with the Tar Heels' coaching staff.

"I spoke with most of the coaches and they just let me know that the really want me," Marshall said.

With so many visits to Chapel Hill, Marshall has a favorable feeling towards UNC.

"I really like UNC and I think they have a great overall program," Marshall said.

Besides UNC, Marshall has visited Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, and South Carolina – most of which occurring within the last couple of months. For the time being, he's finished with visiting schools.

"I don't have any more visits planned as of now," Marshall said.

Marshall now shifts his focus to establishing a favorite schools list, which figures to include five to ten schools.

"It's going good," Marshall said. "I'll probably have my top (list) soon."

Over two dozen schools have verbally offered Marshall a scholarship, including Alabama, Auburn, California, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Notre Dame, UNC, NC State, South Carolina, South Florida, and Southern Cal.
