And, be sure to thank Burgess as you walk into the Hall of Fame at Kenan Stadium and see all the woodwork because it was installed by his father's company.
Burgess says that North Carolina is his current leader after his visit to Chapel Hill for Junior Day.
"It was all even until I went to North Carolina for Junior Day," he said. "Other places had nice facilities but North Carolina's was really something. The coaches there are really great too."
Burgess has met the UNC coaching staff, including offensive line Coach Hal Hunter.
This weekend, though, the focus of the Burgess family will be on elder son Jackie, a senior at Liberty, who may be taken in the NFL Draft.
"I learned a lot about recruiting by watching my brother go through it. I also had a chance to meet many of the local coaches," Jeremy said.
Burgess has also learned more about the recruiting process by meeting other UNC targets at various camps including Bryan Rogers from Monroe, N.C. and Leon Hart from Columbia, S.C.
Burgess also likes South Carolina, Clemson, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Virginia. He plans to go to numerous camps over the summer and would like to decide on a school sometime in the late summer or fall and said he would like to visit a few schools before he commits.
"I want to look at some other schools," he said. "I have to wait and see who offers and which schools invite me for an official visit."
He said is looking forward to the recruiting process and hopes he'll get an offer when he camps in Chapel Hill.
