Bell's recruitment picking up

As one of the top running backs in the nation, the big schools are starting to visit his school.

As one of the top at his position in the nation, the big schools are starting to visit Jack Britt (NC) running back George Bell at his school.

"It is starting to be a little bit busy," says the stocky 5-foot-11, 225 pounder with a 365 pound bench-press. "North Carolina State, Miami, and Marshall was in this week. Michigan and North Carolina are supposed to come in the next few weeks."

Miami is certainly a big name on the recruiting scene, and they are high on Bell's list.

"They want to wait and see how I do this season. They did not say if they will offer, but they were talking about how I fit into their system. Frank Gore will be starting this season, and he was supposed to start this year. Next year, he will be a senior and could even leave a year early. They also signed a guy this year, so by the time I were to get up there we could both compete for a job."

According to Bell, the Hurricanes have seen film and like his style. However, another school has offered and is ready for a commitment.

"I could commit to NC State right now, but it is too early. I still have a test to take and a season to play. Who knows, I could still commit to them."

Though with the commitment possibility out there, Bell is not ready to state any team as a leader.

"My top-five is NC State, Michigan, Miami, North Carolina, and Tennessee, with nobody in the lead."
