Hand Injury Sidelines Price - Updated

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- Sophomore cornerback Jabari Price had successful surgery Friday morning to repair a tendon in his left hand.

The injury occurred during a blocking drill in practice on Tuesday.

Price played in all 13 games as a true freshman in 2010 and started the final four. He finished the season with 20 tackles, four pass breakups and one interception.

He he solidified his spot atop the depth chart in training camp as a starter at cornerback.

Price will be out of action for six weeks and his status will be updated at that time.
