Johnson Recaps UNC Visit

Brice Johnson, who holds a scholarship offer from UNC, took an unofficial visit to Chapel Hill on Saturday.

"It was good," he said about the trip. "I enjoyed it. Coach [Roy] Williams answered all my question so it was good."

"I had some serious questions for him. He was just talking in general and told me why he was recruiting me."

While on campus, Johnson took a tour, met with Coach Williams and played pick up ball with the current players.

"I think it's a good school -- I think it's a great school and has a lot of tradition."

Johnson, a standout at Cordova (S.C.) Edisto, is also considering Clemson, South Carolina, N.C. State, Florida, Baylor, Ohio State and Connecticut.

"I'm going to go ahead and narrow it down," Johnson said. "I'm going to sit down and set up some official visits."

With a number of high major scholarship offers, Johnson is working towards the end of his recruitment. He plans to decide shortly after he takes his official visits.

"I'm going to get it out of the way soon," Johnson said when asked about making his college decision.

Johnson was one of the big risers in July. The 6-foot-9, 185-pound power forward is an athletic prospect that is especially effective blocking shots and rebounding.
