Britt Eying UNC

HARBOR CITY, Calif. -- Nate Britt raised his profile this summer, and as one of the top guards in the 2013 class, earned an invite to the Boost Mobile Elite 24 game.

At this point the Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga standout has North Carolina, Duke, Arizona, Virginia, Maryland, Villanova, Georgetown and Pittsburgh recruiting him.

Britt said he's always had interest in UNC and they are among the schools he's hoping to visit in the near future.

"Growing up that's always been one of my dream schools," Britt said. "I definitely want to go down there and see what it's like."

"I don't have any dates set up right now but [I want to visit] Arizona and North Carolina," he said, and headed to Tucson following the Elite 24 event.

As for traveling to Chapel Hill, he's looking to make that trip "sometime during the fall."

Britt said interest from the Tar Heels began a few months ago.

"It started a little bit at the beginning of the summer and then when they saw me play in Indiana and a couple other places it started to pick up," Britt said.

"They haven't offered yet, it's just recruiting right now," he added.

Britt, who ranks as a Top 20 prospect in the 2013 class, said he's always enjoyed UNC's style.

"I've always liked the way they play," he said. "Coach Roy Williams has a great coaching style."

Britt averaged 13.6 points and just over five assists a game during his sophomore season at Gonzaga.
