'Great Visit' for Britt

Ten days after picking up a scholarship offer from Roy Williams, Nate Britt was back at North Carolina for the ‘Late Night with Roy' festivities.

Britt, who was accompanied by his parents, spent the whole weekend in Chapel Hill. The Friday night event at the Dean Smith Center was a clear highlight of the trip.

"It was a great visit," said the Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga point guard. "I enjoyed watching the ‘Late Night with Roy.' That was pretty exciting. Vince Carter was there and then I hung out with the other recruits -- T.J. [Warren], Marcus [Paige] and J.P. [Tokoto].

"Definitely the ‘Late Night with Roy' was one of my favorites parts. I enjoyed that a lot. Other than that it was probably just hanging out with the recruits and the players."

Britt, Scout.com's No. 3 point guard and No. 18 overall prospect in the 2013 class, was already familiar with the other recruits that were in Chapel Hill this weekend.

"I knew all of them," he said. "Marcus and I actually played against each other when we played 10-and-under and then I saw him again at Elite 24 and NBA Camp. T.J. Warren and I have played each other on the circuit a couple of times and then J.P. we had also met at NBA Camp."

In early September, Britt took an unofficial to UNC. During that trip he saw the entire campus, but his parents didn't, so they did the grand tour this time around.

"We got to go around campus a little bit more with my parents. I had already seen the campus, but they hadn't seen it all," Britt said.

"So we went around campus and we got to meet with the academics advisor and learned some stuff on how things go academically and we went to the football game."

Britt said the visit gave him an opportunity to continue to get to know Roy Williams.

"It was great," he said of sitting down with Williams. "I got a chance to build our relationship a little more."

"Pretty much they are just saying that as many times as they can come to see me they will," he added.

After two visits in six weeks, Britt said he's got a good feel for North Carolina, Roy Williams and the players.

"I think I pretty much understand everything that they are about and I think that's good," Britt said.

Britt took a recent trip to a Big East school last week, but isn't planning any trips for the near future.

"I don't have any planned right now," he said. "Last weekend I took a trip to Georgetown and then I took a trip here and I think that's all the schools I'm trying to visit right now."

Britt declined to name favorites and said he's still feeling out the process.

"I'm kind of taking it all in. I'm really not sure yet."
