Bryan Cox - DE - Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Aquinas
Record: 10-3
Game Result: lost to Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer, 6-3, in the FHSAA Class 7A regional final.
Notes: first game back since a hand injury kept him out for several weeks.
 
Ken Ekanem - DE - Clifton (Va.) Centreville
Record: 13-1
Game Result:
defeated Richmond Hermitage, 10-9, in the VHSL AAA Division 6 semifinal.
Statistics: had ten tackles, including six for a loss and 4.5 sacks. Also, with the game on the line, he hit the quarterback, which led to an interception.
Quotable: "I was so dead tired," Ekanem told the Washington Post. "I just put everything out there and played with all my heart."

Todd Gurley - RB/DE - Tarboro (N.C.)
Record: 12-2
Game Result:
defeated Lincolnton, 39-36, in the NCHSAA 2A title game.
Statistics: rushed for 242 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries. He also had eight tackles, including two for a loss and eight solo.

Clint Heaven - S - Bradenton (Fla.) Manatee
Record: 11-2
Game Result: defeated Fort Pierce Central, 13-10, in the FHSAA Class 7A regional final.
 
Jon Heck - OT - Jacksonville (Fla.) Bolles
Record: 12-1
Game Result: defeated East Gadsden, 49-7, in the FHSAA Class 4A semifinal.
 
Joseph Jackson - LB - Jacksonville (Fla.) First Coast
Record: 12-0
Game Result: defeated Clermont East Ridge, 28-21 in the FHSAA Class 7A regional final.
 
Dan Mastromatteo - FB/LB - Absecon (N.J.) Holy Spirit
Record: 8-3
Game Result: defeated Camden Catholic, 51-7, in the NJSIAA Non-Public Group 2 title game.
Statistics: Camden Catholic "struggled" to block him. He recorded a sack and drew two holding penalties.
Quotable: "I think our defense peaked at the perfect time," Mastromatteo told the Press of Atlantic City. "We kept getting better and better [as the season progressed] and this game capped it all off. We knew the only person who could hurt us was the quarterback, and we took care of him."

Reggie Northrup - LB - Jacksonville (Fla.) First Coast
Record: 12-0
Game Result: defeated Clermont East Ridge, 28-21 in the FHSAA Class 7A regional final.
 
Kenny Orjioke - S - Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter
Record: 10-4
Game Result: lost to Marietta Walton, 30-24, in the GHSA AAAAA semifinals.
 
Patton Robinette - QB - Maryville (Tenn.)
Record: 15-0
Game Result: defeated %%MATCH_14%% Whitehaven, 23-7, in the  TSSAA 6A title game.
Statistics: won the game's MVP with 114 total yards. He completed 6-of-10 passes for 85 yards and a 29-yard touchdown. He rushed for 29 yards on 16 carries.
Quotable: "Whitehaven was a heck of a defense," Robinette told the Tennessean. "It was probably the best we've seen all year. I know that for a fact. They're fast. They're physical. I know we have one of the best offensive lines in the state and one of the best in the nation, and we had trouble blocking them sometimes."
"It feels awesome," Robinette told the Herald Citizen. "I don't know how to describe it. It's the best feeling ever."

defeated Columbus Carver, 28-13, in the GHSA Class AA semifinal.
Statistics: rushed for 63 yards and a five-yard touchdown on 13 carries.
