Day 2 of the Pro Summer League in Boston began with anticipation as Tar Heel fans looked forward to the nationally televised Tuesday afternoon match-up between Indiana and San Antonio with the expectation of seeing former UNC stars Ademola Okulaja and Ed Cota in action.
The high hopes turned to disappointment though, as the Spurs strapped Okulaja to the bench for the day with a "DNP-coach's decision" and Ed Cota played just 9 minutes for the Pacers.
Cota did not score or even attempt a field goal, but did have 2 assists, 2 steals and a rebound in the Pacers (2-0) 65-61 win over the Spurs (0-2).
Last night's nationally televised game with Boston vs. Washington featuring former Tar Heel Joseph Forte had a bit more to offer. Forte contributed 8 points (3-7 FG, 2-3 FT), 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals during 20 minutes as the Celtics (2-0) defeated the Wizards (0-1) 73-57.
