"He pretty much told us about the experiences they've had as coaches at previous colleges. Mainly, he was just introducing himself and the new staff."
To continue that introduction, Church says that they expect to host Larry Fedora in their home within the next couple of weeks.
Jiles, a 6-foot, 175-pound cornerback from Cape Coral (Fla.), verbally committed to UNC in early October. His mother fully expects him to stick to that commitment.
"He's pretty set with North Carolina," Church said. "He did want to make one visit before the month was out, but he's pretty happy with North Carolina."
According to his mother, Jiles doesn't have any future visits scheduled. If he does end up officially visiting another school it will likely be either Central Florida or South Florida.
"I think he talked to a coach from UCF or USF," Church said. "I think he talked to a coach from Minnesota. A coach from Wake Forest came by the house about a month ago, but [Jiles] hasn't heard anything from there since he came."
Church added that Jiles hasn't spoken to anyone from Ohio State, which now includes former UNC interim coach Everett Withers on its coaching staff.
Jiles officially visited UNC in mid-September – under the previous regime. His mother doesn't believe an unofficial visit to the campus is necessary.
"We've already visited [the school], so there's no reason to go back," Church said. "I know the whole coaching staff is changing, but the school and the campus is still the same."
