Change At Top for Walker

Following his most recent visit to North Carolina, Brian Walker has made another change to his list.

"I would have to say that North Carolina is probably in the lead right now," Walker said. "It's just for the simple fact that I feel comfortable around the coaches, the players, and campus. I could just picture myself being there."

As late as January, Brian, a 5-foot-9, 168-pound cornerback from Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek, was listing NC State as his leader. UNC had pulled even with its rival following Walker's visit to Chapel Hill two weeks prior.

Despite the visit earlier in the month, Walker's growing interested in UNC led him to return for the Tar Heels' Junior Day on Saturday.

"I just love North Carolina," Walker said. "I like the atmosphere and I really like talking to Coach [Larry] Fedora. I have a real high interest in them, that's mostly why I went back."

During the visit, Walker sat down with Fedora in his office.

"He was just telling me that they wanted me to be there and that I fit their system," Walker said. "He said the decision is on me."

Walker is unsure when that decision might occur.

"I might make a commitment before my senior year or in the middle," Walker said.

In addition to UNC and NC State, Walker has collected scholarship offers from Auburn, Minnesota, and South Carolina.

This coming weekend, Walker plans to attend Wake Forest's Junior Day.
