Steve Council update

Steve Council, the mammoth offensive lineman from Plainfield, N.J., was in Chapel Hill recently visiting his older brother - a UNC graduate.

"I came down to North Carolina to go on an unofficial visit to N.C. State," Council said. "My older brother said that while we are down here, why don't we go down the road and visit North Carolina. We did and I really enjoyed the visit. They gave us a tour and everything."

Council now claims North Carolina as his favorite. He says he plans on coming down to Chapel Hill often over the summer and plans to be in the stands for the Florida State game.

He is also interested in Rutgers (plans on attending camp), Iowa, Hofstra, and Maryland.

Council says the best part of his game is his run blocking.

He originally planned to wait until late in the recruiting process before committing but now says that he may commit early. North Carolina was his first offer, but expect him to receive more as the recruiting process continues.

Council is considering an education major
