Lewis Attends Practice

Tyquan Lewis made another visit to North Carolina on Friday.

"I was out of school and they invited me to practice," Lewis said. "So I wanted to see what their practice was like.

"It was pretty good. It seems like things are coming along. Everything was moving fast paced."

Lewis, a 6-foot-3, 220-pounder from Tarboro (N.C.), spent most of his time on the field watching both the "bandit" and defensive line groups practice since UNC is recruiting him for both positions. He doesn't have a preference between the two.

"I just want to play," Lewis said. "I believe I could do both."

Following practice, Lewis had conversations with just about every member of UNC's coaching staff, including Deke Adams and Larry Fedora.

"They were excited about the defensive line," Lewis said. "They were happy that I could visit and see practice. They told me I could come there and be able to contribute."

Under Larry Fedora, Lewis has visited UNC a handful of times.

"[The visits] have allowed me to feel comfortable with the coaching staff and the campus," Lewis said.

Regardless, Lewis doesn't claim any favorite schools.

"I'm evaluating on all these visits," Lewis said. "I haven't really thought about [favorites] lately."

After finishing up his spring visits, Lewis hopes to have enough information to put together a favorite schools list.

This coming Saturday, Lewis will attend South Carolina's Junior Day. He's also considering visiting Ohio State for the Buckeye's Spring Game on April 21 as well as trips to Auburn and LSU.
