No Decision Yet from McAdoo

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina fans eagerly awaiting James Michael McAdoo's NBA decision will have to continue to wait.

His father, Ronnie, informed on Monday morning that a decision about whether or not the freshman forward will enter the NBA Draft has yet to be made.

"We hope to have a decision (by) this weekend," the elder McAdoo said in a text message.

McAdoo went home to Norfolk, Va. over the weekend to discuss his NBA options with his parents. Various mock drafts have the 6-foot-9, 220-pounder listed as a top-10 lottery pick.'s Chad Ford has McAdoo going to Detroit with the eighth pick.

In an interview with IC last week, Ronnie McAdoo said the family's intention was for his son to return to North Carolina for his sophomore season.

McAdoo averaged 6.1 points and 3.9 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per game, but emerged late in the season. He started three games after John Henson suffered a left wrist injury in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals against Maryland.

McAdoo averaged 10.6 points per game in the postseason, including a season-high 17 points against Vermont and a team-high 15 points against Kansas.
