Taylor torn as decision nears

Many expected a decision would certainly be made for Scotland County (NC) linebacker Hilee Taylor after visits to camps at North Carolina and South Carolina, but the confusion could just now start.

"I had a great time at the South Carolina camp," says the 6-foot-3, 200 pounder. "It was a fun trip. They haven't offered but they said an offer could come in the mail or after I meet with Coach Holtz."

Taylor said a decision is about a month away, but all three of his favorites are tied.

"I'm planning to make my final decision at the end of July right before high school football practice. Right now, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia Tech are my favorites. They are all about even."

The conversation between Hilee and his family has centered on the commitment decision of late, and Taylor admits his parents changed their tune.

"Now they are more leaning towards North Carolina. Right now they now that North Carolina is more of an academic school that can help me if I do not make the NFL."

While parents help, the decision is ultimately up to Hilee.

"That is the problem. In my mind, all the colleges are even. I want to see who all ends up offering me and decide after that."
