Stevenson Suspended From Football Team

Rising sophomore David Stevenson, a 6-4, 328-pound offensive guard, has been suspended indefinitely from the University of North Carolina football team because of conduct detrimental to the team, head coach John Bunting announced Tuesday.

Stevenson, a native of Dale City, Va., played 25 snaps as a reserve on the offensive line last season, including a season-high 10 at Florida State. He redshirted the 1999 season.
