Two lead for Ashcraft

Monroe High School running back Albert Ashcraft has offers from North Carolina, South Carolina, Clemson, and East Carolina. He discussed his leaders with Inside Carolina on Sunday.

"Clemson and North Carolina are my leaders," Ashcraft said. "I'm waiting to see which other schools may offer. [The college coaching staffs] are allowed to start calling me in September.

He already plans to be in attendance for two Tar Heel games this fall, though one of them is in Death Valley.

I plan on attending the UNC-FSU game [Aug. 30] as an unofficial visit," he said. "I'll go to the Clemson-UNC game [Oct. 25] as well.

"My coach [Robert Cloninger] and I are working on setting up my official visits."

Albert has completed his camp visits for the summer and now is focusing on getting ready for his senior season in high school. As a junior, he rushed for about 1,100 yards on 9.2 yards a carry and scored 22 touchdowns.
