Goddard has two favorites

Roanoke (NC) cornerback Trimane Goddard is much more of an athlete than to just stick with one position, and many schools are telling him just that. However, he has two teams that he feels stand out among the rest.

"I went to stay with my coach's son in Durham, North Carolina last Wednesday and stayed there until (Sunday)," says the 5-foot-10, 170 pounder. "We went to see two movies with a UNC player named Ronald Brewer and hung out with a running back named Lewis. It was a pretty good time, and I got to know their guys pretty well. I thought that ‘The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' was not as good as I expected, and ‘Bad Boys II' was awesome."

While Goddard is not a movie critic, he does have time to focus on football and recruiting. At one point recently, he said that Virginia had a big lead, but his recent visit changed that up.

"It is all pretty close between Virginia and North Carolina. Florida State is also really strong, and they say I can play pretty much anywhere. Most of them want me to play corner and possibly some special teams as well."

That last position could be his breadwinner in the future with his kick returning abilities, but Goddard's value may not stay on the block for long.

"I will probably commit right before the season, but not, then right after the season ends."
