Jamaal Edwards chooses FSU

As the number three running back in the nation, many schools coveted the services of Dudley (NC) tailback Jamaal Edwards. Last night, he made his decision.

"He committed yesterday, and he will be a Seminole," says Dudley head coach Victor Floyd, who is a busy man with another player commit over the weekend. "He loved what he saw down there for the camp."

To play for Florida State was always a dream for Edwards, who attended their camp since he was in the eigth grade.

"It was really good, and I learned a lot more about them as a whole," says the 6-foot, 200 pounder. "Florida State is on top after the visit. I learned that they will take two running backs this year because they will only have two running backs returning next year. In the offense they run, three will play, so I think I can get some playing time next year."
