Crowder visited one of those schools this past weekend -- Death Valley.
"I went to Clemson for the Georgia Tech game Saturday and it was my first time visiting them this season. I liked the environment there Saturday and it is always good to see the coaches there. Their coaches are great and they are not really recruiting me, but just building a relationship."
The other two schools in his top three have things he likes as well.
"Georgia is a program that plays physical and I like how they play in the SEC. I really like Coach [Mark] Richt and Coach [Will] Friend too.
"North Carolina is probably the school recruiting me the hardest right now through mail and on Facebook. They have a new team, a new coaching staff, and they could be building something there. I like that."
When could this Top 100 prospect come to a decision?
"I really don't know yet," Crowder said, "I would like to get it done sooner than later, but it could go all the way to Signing Day. I am probably going to take some official visits first, but I have not set any up yet."
It sounds like official visits could be key in Crowder's decision.
"I just do not know what is going to help me pick one school yet. I think I could learn something about the schools during visits, so I think those could play a big role for me."
When asked if he has a leader at this time, Crowder said, "I would have to say Clemson and Georgia are tied at the top with North Carolina behind them."
