It's the fourth week of August -- and Wake Forest now has four commitments from the Class of 2002.
Smooth 6-2 point guard Justin Gray has verballed to Skip Prosser's Deacons, rounding out a terrific class for Wake.
A native of West Charlotte, Gray plays at Oak Hill Academy (Va.). In AAU ball, he suits up for the Charlotte Royals alongside future Tar Heel Rashad McCants. Gray has proven this summer, from the Boo Williams Invitational to the Peach Jam, that he's a Top 50 player.
"Gray may not have quite the first step or playmaking skills to rank among the very best lead guards, but everything else is in place," wrote Prep Stars at the Peach Jam. "He's a terrific jumpshooter, who has a smooth release and good rotation."
Wake Forest's other three commitments are PF/C Eric Williams, WF/WG Trent Strickland and WF/WG Richard Joyce.
