Wiggins Taking Visits

SPARTANBURG, S.C. --- When he verbally committed to North Carolina in early February, Korrin Wiggins made it clear he planned to visit other schools and explore other options.

"I'm going to go where I feel fits me best and is going to give me the best opportunity as far as football and school and we're going to win," Wiggins said on Saturday after arriving for Shrine Bowl week.

Sticking to that plan, Wiggins, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety, officially visited Ohio State a couple of weekends ago.

"It was great," Wiggins said. "I had a great time. My family enjoyed it. I liked the players. I liked the coaching staff. It was nice."

Wiggins is scheduled to officially visit Clemson the weekend of Jan. 11 and then UNC the weekend of Jan. 18.

"I might take [an official visit] to South Carolina, but I don't know," Wiggins said.

The UNC coaching staff is well aware of Wiggins' travels.

"The only real comment that they have had was ‘Have fun, but not too much fun,'" Wiggins said.

Wiggins says the visits shouldn't cause concern among UNC's coaches or fans.

"As far as being worried? No," Wiggins said. "Everything is going to play out the way it's supposed to."
