Josh Gattis (6-2, 187, 4.3, 290 bench) is one of three Northern Durham players [the other two being A.J. Davis and James Adams] that are getting lots of attention from major college football programs. Gattis plays safety for Northern, where he uses his size and speed to be a force against the run. Last season, Gattis tallied 110 tackles and one interception.
Gattis also runs track, and has recorded a meet time of 10.84 in the 100 meter dash. He finished sixth in the 100 meter high hurdles at the 4A NCHSAA Track and Field Championship in May, and was seventh in the 100 meter dash.
