Lacey Postpones UNC Visit

Trevor Lacey has postponed his official visit to UNC.

The 6-3 Alabama transfer was originally scheduled to arrive in Chapel Hill on Tuesday.

"The ACC (spring) meetings are this week and then a dead period starts on Thursday," he told InsideCarolina on Monday afternoon. "So, I won't be able to make it up there this week."

Lacey has narrowed his list of schools to N.C. State, UNC and Miami (Fla.). He took his first official visit to Raleigh this past weekend and said he "had a good time."

Lacey said he fully intends to visit UNC, but doesn't yet have a date.

"We're going to talk about it and we don't want there to be any mix-ups," he said. I'm going to wait for the coaches to call me and figure out what we're going to do moving forward."

The NCAA's Dead Period runs from May 16 through 25, and during that time prospects are not permitted to take on-campus visits.

Lacey also doesn't yet have a date set for a visit to Miami.

"I'm still planning to go through the process," he said.
