Super Regional Game One Postponed

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- Due to the weather conditions from Tropical Storm Andrea affecting the Chapel Hill area, the start of the NCAA Division I Baseball Super Regional between North Carolina and South Carolina will be postponed until Saturday, June 8 at noon on ESPN.

The NCAA and the participating institutions all agreed this was in the best interest of the student-athletes and fans.

Game two will be Sunday, at 1 p.m. on ESPN, while the Monday "if necessary" game time and network will be determined Sunday.

UNC head coach Mike Fox said this week that his ace, Kent Emanuel, will be the starting pitcher on Saturday regardless of whether a game was held on Friday.
